Verimatrix has collaborated with AWS to further enhance the scalability, availability, and ease of use of its Streamkeeper Multi-DRM cloud-based OTT content security platform.
A multi-tenant platform deployed on the AWS Cloud, Streamkeeper Multi-DRM is compatible with AWS SPEKE and works seamlessly with AWS Media Services. Leverage AWS Global Accelerator and AWS Route 53 to enable lightning-fast content consumption, provide the highest reliability, and consistently autoscale for peak events. Additionally, AWS Shield, AWS WAF, and AWS Key Management Service (KMS) ensure that the Streamkeeper Multi-DRM service receives strong protection against malicious attacks.
Andrew Bear, Head of VCAS Business at Verimatrix, said: “Our customers' top priority is to have flexible security solutions that do not disrupt the consumer experience or sacrifice reliability.”
“As a global innovator in OTT content security, we are excited to work with AWS to deliver reliable, time-saving technology that can be integrated in minutes and has a significant impact on carrier bottom lines. We're pleased to announce that Streamkeeper Multi-DRM provides operators with the latest DRM industry standards and features available on a myriad of compatible devices to successfully complete any type of project. This collaboration between Verimatrix and AWS This ensures a rewarding end-user experience protected through multiple layers of security,” Bear added.
Key highlights of the collaboration include the creation of an OTT video service.
- Rapid Deployment – The time it takes to build a custom on-premises solution delays your return on investment.
- High availability and reliability – On-premises environments are either very expensive (if they offer geo-redundancy) or not very reliable (if they don't offer geo-redundancy).
- Autoscaling – On-premises environments are typically over-provisioned to maintain peak consumption.
- Strong security – Entry-level DRM does not meet the requirements of high-end content owners and may limit access to premium content.
- Integration and compatibility – Lack of integration results in delays and project costs. Compatible with CMAF, CPIX, and AWS SPEKE v2.
- Fully managed – Obtain complete operational status and service performance visibility with monitoring, alerting, and actionable metrics.
