UiPath, the global leader in enterprise automation software, announced a variety of new developer features during the UiPath DevCon 2024 event aimed at increasing innovation and collaboration in automation. This was revealed by Munil Shah, Chief Technology Officer of UiPath Automation Cloud, who believes that the combination of AI and automation offers exciting possibilities. “Our quest to reimagine DevOps for automation developers using AI led to the creation of UiPath Autopilot,” said Shah. “We are bringing generative AI to all of our products. We believe magic happens when you combine AI with automation.”
UiPath DevCon will introduce many new and innovative solutions to improve the productivity of the international UiPath developer community of over 2 million people, according to Daniel Dines, UiPath co-founder and chief innovation officer. It is said that it was done. Inspired by GenAI and Code Assistant, these features help developers build, test, and quickly track automation implementations.
Among the new features is UiPath Autopilot for test suites, which is currently in public preview. This innovative tool provides advanced AI capabilities designed to maximize tester productivity throughout the testing lifecycle. AI-powered technologies within Autopilot for Test Suite include quality checking, test design, test automation, and test insights. “As more organizations deploy GenAI and Code Assistant to write code faster, ensure code quality,” said Melinda Barrow, research director for Agile ALM, Quality and Portfolio Strategy Services at IDC. It is essential to incorporate effective and continuous testing to ensure this.”
Further enhancements to UiPath include Automation Marketplace and Solution Accelerators, a framework of thousands of pre-built building blocks to expedite the implementation process. Generative AI Connectors have also been expanded to support customer automation projects. These connectors allow developers to connect to a variety of AI activities designed to integrate AI across the transactions and interactions of a use case.
Another important announcement is improvements to Integration Service developer capabilities. New enhancements to Connector Builder make it easier for developers to create customized API integrations. Additionally, we've introduced a new activity designer that allows developers to visually design their own activities.
Finally, UiPath made an important expansion decision. It has been announced that a new data center in India will start operating from April 2024. The move is part of a strategic plan to address the growing need for cloud services, with a focus on business continuity and compliance. This provides an opportunity for public and private customers and partners to strategically position infrastructure, applications, and data to ensure accessibility and improve service velocity for customers.
All these updates demonstrate a strong trend towards maximizing the potential of AI in automation. The future of AI-powered automation continues to be bright, with companies like UiPath leading the way.
