This prestigious committee develops recommendations that highlight the collaborative efforts of the travel industry, government agencies, and the private sector to improve the overall traveler experience and encourage travel and tourism to the United States. That's what I mean.
Known for her extensive background in homeland and national security, Patricia Cogswell is not only a valuable asset to Guidehouse, but also contributes her expertise as a member of HSToday's editorial board. Before she joined Guidehouse, Ms. Cogswell served as Deputy Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Deputy Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Mr. Cogswell, who has more than 25 years of combined experience in government and the private sector, joined Guidehouse in September 2020 to focus on innovation, organization and mission transformation. Her role includes redesigning strategies across the national security sector, reflecting her commitment to driving positive change and progress in this area.
Prior to joining Guidehouse, Patricia Cogswell held leadership roles at the White House, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Justice. Her diverse portfolio included transportation, intelligence, policy, border security, inspection, and information sharing efforts. Cogswell has deep expertise in aviation, maritime, and ground transportation security, as well as U.S. government and foreign partner screening and vetting programs.
Her expertise spans areas such as counterterrorism, transnational organized crime, intelligence operations, information sharing technology architecture, and immigration and border procedures. Throughout his career, Cogswell has successfully led a variety of organizations, guided them through complex initiatives in support of national security missions, and collaborated both domestically and internationally.
As a respected figure in the field, Patricia Cogswell is committed to driving positive change and fostering collaboration, making her a key participant in efforts to shape the future of travel and security.
