According to Slack's blog post, users will have access to three new features: Find answers, Channel summaries, and Thread summaries. Additionally, Slack revealed that these AI capabilities are “developed on Slack's secure and trusted infrastructure, so you have complete control over your data.”
Slack's answer search feature provides personalized solutions to your queries. According to the blog post, this feature provides concise and direct quotes to messages. Users can also learn about tasks, goals, and more. Overall, this feature provides sensible suggestions to users.
Meanwhile, channel summaries are provided to save users' time. Users no longer need to see the entire conversation on a thread. This feature helps you easily get an overview of your channel and the gist of what's going on. Additionally, what is missing is also suggesting the right person to the user who wants to send the message.
Slack is also reportedly working on integrating third-party apps to get summaries from various related applications. According to a report in The Verge, the professional workplace tool may come with its own AI chatbot tool, Einstein Copilot. This is expected to allow users to create messages that best suit their professional needs. However, please note that Slack's AI features are limited to his Slack Enterprise users only.
“Slack is also building a native AI integration with Einstein Copilot, a new conversational AI assistant in Salesforce CRM. By providing answers to questions based on trusted customer data directly in Slack, employees can be more productive at work. faster,” the platform said in a blog post.
