WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Emma from the Kansas Humane Society brought a dog named Savannah to KSN's Pet Project on Thursday afternoon. She weighs 43 pounds and is 2 years old.
Emma said Savannah is a very kind girl.
“She's so calm, so sweet and always so happy,” Emma said. She said: “I've never heard her bark at anyone. She was great when she drove here.”
Savannah is also showing signs of housetraining, she says.
“I took her there this morning before I came here. She took five minutes to run some errands and then she was ready to come in,” Emma said.
Savannah came to KHS from the Wichita Animal Shelter.

KHS sold over 250 grams of puppies on Valentine's Day this year.
“I made over $5,000,” Emma said. “It all goes back to the animals we care for.”
In 2023, KHS has more than 7,000 job openings.
“It's really down to the donors that we were able to provide this level of care to these animals and be able to adopt them so quickly,” Emma said. “Just $10 a month goes a long way for our animals. It would be enough to fund spays and neuters and vaccinations. $25 a month would be very helpful in case of an emergency surgery, and just $5 a month would go a long way. Any dollar amount will help.”
KHS offers adoption opportunities for dogs with CIRDC or canine cold.
“Sometimes it's similar to a human cold. You're just sneezing, you're coughing, and you're feeling a little sick overall, but overall you're healthy,” Emma says. I did. “And for our dogs that are in the foster-to-adopt program, you can adopt the dog and take it to the foster-to-adopt program, and then you can go back to the regular foster-to-adopt program and As a matter of fact, once your dog has been cleared by CIRDC by our shelter veterinarian, you can adopt it. ”
