A new update to the Philips Hue app, version 5.10.0, is rolling out to iOS and Android users. The latest software follows his two updates v5.8.0 and v5.9.0 from earlier this year, which include new updates to thwart intruders, provide additional organization, and enhance products such as tap-dial switches. Tools have been introduced.
Version 5.10.0 is another small update that brings two features to the Philips Hue app. The first is about security, adding a new option to turn off notifications triggered by armed secure devices such as cameras and contact sensors. The company says the event will be recorded on your timeline as usual, so you can review it later.
The second addition is Valentine's Day themed. The company has added a romantic lighting category with different scenes to help set the mood. The changelog indicates that these modes will be searchable from the Scene Gallery after the event ends. Existing presets for lighting include Romantic Film Night, Candlelight Romance, and Valentine's Warmth. Customers can download the latest version of the Philips Hue app from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
