Oklahoma City Animal Welfare invites the public to visit the OKC Animal Shelter and participate in an “Endless Love” event in February. The shelter is asking the community to help save 600 lives through adoption.

“The shelter is in critical condition and we need the community's help,” OKC Animal Welfare Supervisor John Gary said. “This is the perfect event to find a new pet and help animals in need.”

Even if you are unable to adopt a pet, you can still participate by taking a photo of a pet at the shelter in the viewing room and posting it on social media.Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag #Aliveinthe405 According to a press release, the purpose is to raise awareness of the importance of adopting animals from shelters.
“Referring shelter pets online helps us match pets with safe, loving homes,” Gary added.
