This is a nice morning surprise. Sony has announced details of the latest update for the PlayStation 5, but wait a minute. It's still in beta testing, so it's not available to everyone yet.
This update is rolling out to “invited participants from selected countries” identified as the United States, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom, Germany, and France, so if you are located in one of the aforementioned locales, please check It's worth it. Check if you are one of the lucky invitees. Sony says all participants will be notified via email today, letting them know when the update is ready to download. The update will be rolled out globally “in the coming months” with an asterisk indicating that features may change as a result of beta testing. But what exactly does the update include?
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth It will be released on February 29th. Check out the game in action below.
The first change concerns the PS5's DualSense controller, which includes various enhancements to the built-in microphone and speaker. The controller can now produce louder sounds, allowing you to “hear in-game sounds and voice chat more clearly,” and has improved noise cancellation thanks to a new AI machine learning model. This suppresses background noise and game audio from button presses for a cleaner voice chat experience. The update notes state that if your DualSense speaker is too loud after installing the update, you can adjust the speaker volume from the console's Control Center.
Let's move on to the screen sharing interaction. Players watching a screen share in full-screen mode can now interact with the host's gameplay using pointers and emoji reactions. This means that viewers can guide the host's players by moving the pointer, pinging locations, drawing lines, and highlighting specific objects. Emojis are said to “visually encourage and celebrate gameplay actions.” To access this feature, both the host and viewer must currently have the beta installed.
Finally, this update allows you to adjust the brightness of your PS5's power indicator. To do this,[設定],[システム],[ビープ音とライト],[明るさ]Select . From here you can choose between dim, medium, and light (standard). Overall, it seems like a great update with subtle but helpful quality of life changes.
