South Reno residents posted on social media that their mail had been stolen.
USPS confirmed that it is actively investigating this issue. We also send a letter to our customers whenever a mailbox is vandalized to ensure that the community they are investigating is aware of the incident.
“When I tried to unlock it, I realized something had been tampered with,” said Kinnan, a mail theft victim. “Fortunately, there were no legal documents inside. It was just a COSTCO magazine and some other stuff. Nothing was out of place, but I noticed that some things were missing. I noticed.”
Kinnan said he is looking for clues to the mail theft and is closely monitoring possible thefts.
“I'm getting more fed up with it these days because I don't trust some random car that's sitting out front for hours with two or three guys on the phone,” he said.
Kinnan shared some other items that were not included in the email.
“I know it was weird, but my voter ballot was missing. Please send me an email with the information. If I have your name and phone number, I can find something, so I can help you.” It's a bit awkward for me.”
He says he feels unsafe if it gets stolen.
“It's really worrying because we have no idea what the thief's goal is. Sure it could be material gain, but personal information is incredibly lucrative these days. So mail and packages It's very worrying that if someone takes a photo of you, even your license plate, all your information will be stolen.”
Ms Kinnan also suggested that the community look out for each other to stop serial thieves until the thief is caught.
