The failure of a border security bill in the U.S. Senate last week is pretty mind-boggling. This bill may not be perfect, but it could certainly be a big step in the right direction. Ironically, it is the Republicans who have been pushing for tougher border security measures for decades, and who just killed a long-awaited bipartisan agreement. why? Because Donald Trump said so.
President Trump just can't stand Joe Biden taking credit for anything.
What's even more ridiculous and pathetic is that House Republicans recently threatened the Senate bill with “death on arrival” rhetoric even before they even read it. It is absolutely deplorable that the majority of Republicans are so intent on placating their bosses, potential felons, who are racked by unwarranted grievances.
President Trump's actions are one issue to contend with, but the bigger issue is the presence of groups of his minions in both the House and Senate. shame on them. They deserve the harshest sentence in this November's election.
