Inflation is hitting everyone across Washington, and budgets are being stretched to the limit. This is especially felt towards pets and their owners. Another humane organization, Seattle Humane, claimed that around 1,500 pets will likely be relinquished by their owners this year, and that this number will be reached in 2023, according to KOMO News. However, humane organizations say that at current inflation rates, the number of pet surrenders could easily reach 3,000 per year.
