LAS VEGAS – Feeding Pets of the Homeless, a national animal welfare nonprofit based in Carson City, Nevada and serving the nation, announced today that the Super Bowl Legacy Las Vegas Received a regional grant as part of the Super Bowl LVIII Host Committee Game Day Grant. Grant program.
Founded in 2008, Feeding Pets of the Homeless provides free pet food, supplies, emergency veterinary care, and health clinics to homeless companion animals across the country.
Genevieve Frederick, founder and president of Feeding Pets of the Homeless, attended a press conference in Las Vegas today and said, “Nevada is our home and we are thrilled to be hosting the state's first Super Bowl. However, there are many people in the Las Vegas Valley who are experiencing homelessness and suffering alongside their furry friends. This grant will help save pets through the Southern Nevada Program and provide pet food and supplies. It helps us continue our mission of providing veterinary services.”
Since its founding, Feeding Pets of the Homeless has saved thousands of pets by providing more than 2 million pounds of food and nearly $5 million in veterinary assistance. Donations to Feeding Pets have helped him help more than 30,000 pets across the country, including thousands of veteran pet owners experiencing homelessness. At least 58 Super Bowl Legacy Grants will be divided into two categories, according to the NFL.
