Gillette, Wyoming – January 31, 2024 – The Campbell County Health Department (CCH) is saying goodbye to one of its most dedicated employees, William Noakes, who served as security officer for nearly five years. Mr. William's last day working for the organization was January 29, 2024, as he prepared to enter a new chapter in his life by joining the United States Air Force.
A native of Gillette, Wyoming, Will was a familiar face at CCH, humbly but deeply committed to the organization's mission, values and safety. On the morning of his departure, friends, family, and leaders from across CCH gathered in a small conference room to witness Will's oath of service into the Air Force.
Will's ambitions are in cyber intelligence and we look forward to seeing where he goes in the Air Force. Now preparing to leave for Lackland Air Force Base in March for his basic training, Will looks back on his time at CCH with fond memories of his time.
“When I think of CCH, I think of camaraderie and teamwork. It's a really welcoming place. We're all family here,” Will said. He expressed his gratitude for the experience gained during his tenure and highlighted the passion and dedication of CCH employees.
Will, who has been there for people who are having their worst day, says, “You can give them perspective and smiles that they wouldn't have had otherwise. And they come out better and healthier.'' It is not possible.”
Adam Booth, CCH security manager and Navy veteran, emphasized Will's impact on the organization. “He is humble and underestimates the impact he has had on our organization. Some nurses cried when they learned he was leaving.”
Mr. Booth shared an example of Will organizing a birthday party for a patient, demonstrating Will's empathy and dedication to brightening people's lives. “He is caring and humble, even though the job is difficult at times. He believes in the mission of CCH and this is his family here.”
Reflecting on Will's future, Booth said, “I know he will be successful. I really hope he continues to push himself and grow as a leader.”
The Campbell County Health Department would like to thank William Noakes for his dedicated service and wish him every success in his new endeavors in the United States Air Force. CCH is proud of Will's dedication to our community and nation as he takes this important step.
