NORTH ANDOVER — As part of North Andover Black History Month activities, the North Parish Unitarian Universalist Society, located at 190 Academy Road, will host a free presentation by James Dargan on Sunday, February 18th from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Hold a concert.
Dargan, a musician and author from North Carolina, performs passionate programs that combine music and spoken word, taking his audience on a journey. Each program speaks to specific social themes in different genres of music, interwoven with commentary on how they connect with our own lives.

Talking about Haverhill's dark history
HAVEHILL — In honor of Black History Month, the Button Woods Museum will host a free talk about Haverhill's Black history on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 6:30 p.m., at the Haverhill Public Library. The program was originally scheduled for February 8th.
The program, sponsored by the Cummings Foundation and presented by Grant Project Manager Carol Majhad and Grant Research Intern Claire Brady, will launch in July 2022. History of Underrepresented People in Haverhill An overview of ongoing research on.

Conversation on Route 110
METHUEN — A community conversation about MassDOT's proposed improvements to Route 110 will be held Monday, hosted by state Rep. Ryan Hamilton. February 12th at 6:30pm in the Irish Cottage function room, 17 Branch Street.
The meeting is designed to bring together concerned community members and local and state elected officials to discuss proposed improvements to Route 110 in Dracut and Methuen.

BEVERLY — Explore Israel's current pulse and mood with Ambassador Ido Aharoni via Zoom on Wednesday, February 28th from 7-8 p.m.
Mr. Aharoni provides an overview of the social and political undercurrents of Israeli society and explores what emerges from October 7th and the Israeli-Hamas war.

Nominate a female leader
ANDOVER — The YWCA of Northeastern Massachusetts is seeking nominations from women who have made a difference in their work or community.
Nominations for this year's 41st Annual Women's Tribute Luncheon will be accepted until March 1st. You can apply by writing to YWCA, Attn: Eunice Zeigler, 38 Lawrence St., Lawrence, 01840, or by going online to ywcanema.org/tribute.
A tribute to women will be held at the Andover Country Club on May 16th at noon.
A unique feature of this event is that the women honored come from all walks of life. Their contributions are wide-ranging, and each is noteworthy in its own way.
Since 1983, the YWCA's Women's Tribute Awards Luncheon has recognized more than 1,200 Merrimack Valley and North Shore women leaders in business and community organizations.
