The governor's office announced that Duwon will become a major supplier to Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia and Hyundai Motor Group.
Kemp said this investment is an example of how Georgia has grown into a leader in domestic auto manufacturing, and that investments in the industry continue to benefit Georgia's entire community.
“In fiscal year 2023 alone, 82 percent of new jobs were created and more than $20 billion in investments were directed to communities outside of metro Atlanta. The City of Metter and Candler County are the primary beneficiaries of that success. We are thrilled that Duwon Climate Control America, Inc. will be joining this community,” Kemp said in a statement.
Founded in 1974, the company specializes in the design and manufacture of air conditioning systems for the automotive industry. A representative for Duwon's company said the investment in Georgia is to strengthen its presence in the United States.
