The quick response of several local fire departments saved two homes from a rapidly spreading outdoor fire. The fire broke out just before 5 p.m. Thursday when residents of a home in the 700 block of Morrison Bridge Road were burning cardboard. The wind picked up and the fire quickly spread out of control.
