4-star EDGE in Humble (TX) Summer Creek Chad Woodfork is nearing a commitment decision and one team is trending on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
Woodfork just visited the University of Southern California, but it's the in-state Texas Longhorns who are currently holding the momentum. This comes after On3 national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman assigned the Houston area star to the Texans on Monday.
He visited the Longhorns last month for their Junior Day celebration. Austin's environment and culture continue to make a big impression on him.
“Mr. Sark stopped by the school last week to see me,” he told Spiegelman on Monday. “Being able to build a relationship with the head coach is definitely something you want when choosing a college. Texas is a great place, great environment, great culture. They're consistent and always come out on top. There are a lot of good things about this place. They showed that last season.”
And an announcement could be imminent.
“A decision could be made soon,” Woodfork told Spiegelman. “I looked at a few more places and then…I saw and heard a lot about all these schools and what they're about. You have to make sure you're 100 percent, but you don't know where you're going. I'm 95 percent sure.”
Woodfork will give the Longhorns another dynamic pass rusher
After signing Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Colin Simmonsalong with On3's top 100 picks. Gina Umeozuluin the 2024 class, the Texans will be looking to add more firepower along the defensive line.
