KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Pilot Travel Centers LLC recently announced the launch of its annual fundraiser for Heart Month, which runs through February.
The event is an effort to support the fight against heart disease and stroke by donating to the American Heart Association's “Life is Why” campaign, a news release said.

Guests can donate to the campaign by visiting participating Pilots, Flying J's and One9 Travel Centers.
Guests can contribute in the following ways:
- Purchase paper hearts: 1 dollar, 3 dollars and 5 dollars Paper hearts can be purchased at participating travel centers.
- Round Up or Donate on the PIN Pad: Guests can round up their purchase amount to the nearest whole dollar or choose to donate any other amount on the PIN pad at checkout.
All donations will go to the American Heart Association's “Life is Why” campaign. US and Heart and Stroke Foundation Canada, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to each organization.
