Supports Hawk Point APU and includes 4 x 2.5GbE LAN ports

Intel now has Mobile on Desktop (MoDT), now with AMD's new Ryzen 7 8845HS processor, offering 8 cores and 16 threads of Zen 4 processing power at a low TDP of 65W (This also doesn't require an insane cooler). (to keep it cold). The key here is high-end CPUs at a lower price point than regular desktop processors and motherboards.

Changwang's new AMD MoDT Mini-ITX motherboard is aimed at NAS and storage use and supports 4 x 2.5GbE Ethernet ports (important for NAS and storage) and up to 9 x SATA drives for high-capacity, high-speed storage doing.

The new motherboard can be used with four different AMD processors: Ryzen 7 7735HS, Ryzen 7 7840HS, Ryzen 9 7940HS, and the latest of them all, Ryzen 7 8845HS. At the moment, only the Ryzen 7 7840HS variant is available for purchase, with or without a cooler.

Changwang's new motherboard supports 54W TDP by default, but you can unlock a higher 65W TDP by adjusting the BIOS. Motherboards have a built-in processor, so you can't buy a motherboard separately. Choose the one you want from the four options and cannot be replaced later.

MoDT motherboards usually have a reduced set of features, but in this case, Changwang's currently unnamed motherboard doesn't. Features include Thunderbolt 4, USB4, 4 x 2.5GbE network ports, PCIe 4.0 x4 support, and more. It's a great cheap alternative to high-end desktop CPUs and motherboards.

There are two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 ports for high-speed SSDs, one SASTA 3.0 port, and two SFF-8643 ports that allow for an additional 8 x SATA ports. If you're using this new motherboard for a NAS or local storage system, you'll have plenty of fast storage options and plenty of network ports.

The motherboard itself supports an LGA1700 cooler, with a full-cover copper heatsink placed on top of the PCU itself to facilitate cooler installation.

In terms of pricing, Changwang sells a new motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS pre-installed CPU for around RMB 2888 (approx. USD 405). You can also pre-install a cooler, but this $405 (or so) package doesn't include a cooler.
