Murata Manufacturing has expanded its lineup by releasing the DFE2MCPH_JL series of automotive-grade power inductors with values of 0.33μH and 0.47μH, designed specifically for automotive powertrain/safety equipment. For example, compared to existing products in the DFE2MCAH_J0 series, the 0.33µH component has a 38% reduction in DC resistance to 18mOhm and a 31% increase in current rating to 5.1A, achieving the highest standards in the industry. Temperature rise. The current rating for the specified inductance drop is also 64% higher at 6.9A. Furthermore, this product has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +155°C (with current derating) and a withstand voltage of 40V in the 0806 size.
Metal alloy inductors leverage the company's advances in materials and manufacturing technology to deliver high quality and performance. This makes the part ideal for demanding automotive applications such as ADAS and IVI systems, a rapidly expanding market.
The series' high DC current rating and low power losses are complemented by high impulse voltage ratings, making it particularly suitable for low-loss filtering and energy storage in power converter applications. At the same time, the small package saves space and material usage.
Further applications for these high current, high grade inductors are in-vehicle infotainment/comfort systems and medical devices GHTF Class A, B, and Class C (non-implant).
