“There are certain food groups that are definitely toxic to pets and should be avoided in daily life, such as grapes, onions, and garlic,” said Dr. Jonathan Onaga of Aina Haina Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Jonathan Onaga said. “In general, many of the foods we eat pose a high risk of posing a number of unfortunate health risks to our pets.”
How do I know if my pet is involved in something it shouldn't?
“An upset stomach can cause vomiting and diarrhea, and in some cases, it may be caused by pancreatitis.''
For pets with underlying issues, especially those with heart disease or kidney disease, the high salt levels found in many big game foods can pose an even higher risk.
Well, you may be on an adult beverage diet.
“My dog is actually quite sensitive to alcohol.''
If your pet has access to mixed drinks, they may also be interested in mixed drinks.
Symptoms are very similar to those in humans.
“Disorientation, weakness, nausea and vomiting, etc. And if you consume enough alcohol, you can actually become seriously ill and cause life-threatening complications.”
Dr. Onaga recommends securing trash cans to prevent dogs, especially large dogs, from knocking them over and getting into what's inside. You might also consider installing fencing to prevent people from physically entering the eating area.
We recommend that you feed your dog their regular meals at a set time. Also, let your guests know your house rules. No matter how cute Maple is, you should not feed it.
If all your preparations don't work and your pet counter-surfs or eats the margarita on its own, Dr. Onaga advises taking it to the vet immediately.

“The sooner we can provide care to them, the easier it is to get them healthy again, and the more likely they are to actually get healthy as quickly as possible.”
