If you're planning a Disney vacation in the near future, it's wise to check if there are any travel advisories in place before you travel.
While you may be looking to visit Disney destinations around the world for new offerings or first-time visits, the U.S. Department of State has issued travel advisories for some Disney destination areas. please note.
All these destinations have recommendations and we will list them. Start at the most severe level. Each location has one or more Disney Parks. disney adventure, Disney hotels, and/or Nat Geo Expeditions.
Level 1 — Take normal precautions
These locations are currently Travel advisory: Level 1 and what is needed is Usual precautions when visiting. Countries with Disney destinations include:
- Argentina
- Australia
- Austria
- Cambodia
- Canada
- Czech Republic
- Greece
- Hungary
- Iceland
- Ireland
- Japan
- new zealand
- Norway
- Palau
- Poland
- Portugal
- Rwanda
- Slovakia
- Switzerland
- Vietnam
Level 2 — Pay more attention

- Antarctica
- Bahamas — crime
- Belgium — terrorism
- Costa Rica – crime
- Ecuador — social unrest, crime, kidnapping
- France — terrorism and social unrest
- Germany – terrorism
- hong kong – arbitrary enforcement of local laws;
- Italy — terrorism
- Laos — Crime, social unrest, unexploded ordnance
- Netherlands — Terror
- Peru — potential for crime, social unrest, and kidnapping;
- South Africa – Choarfrost and civil war
- Spain — terrorism and civil war
- Tanzania — Crime, terrorism and targeting of LGBTI people
- England – terrorism
Level 3 — Reconsider your trip
area within Level 3 encourages reconsidering travel. These areas pose significant safety and security risks. Disney destinations located in areas considered Level 3 include:
- Baja California and the Mexican state of Jalisco — crime and kidnapping
- Egypt – Terrorism, Military Zones, and Embassy Limited Ability to Assist Dual U.S.-Egyptian Citizens Arrested or Detained
- Israel — terrorism and social unrest
- Mainland China (Shanghai) — risks of arbitrary enforcement and illegal detention of local laws, including those relating to exit bans;
- Uganda — Crime, terrorism and anti-LGBTQI+ laws
- West Bank – terrorism and social unrest
Level 4 – Travel prohibited
Countries and regions classified as Level 4 is considered unsafe for travel by the U.S. Department of State. According to the State Department, “This is the highest advisory level because of the potential for increased life-threatening risks. In the event of an emergency, the U.S. government's ability to provide assistance may be very limited.” Yes. The State Department advises U.S. citizens not to travel to the country or to leave the country as soon as it is safe to do so.” Fortunately, there are currently no Disney destinations that meet this criteria.
