Real estate firm Colliers announced it is expanding its life sciences practice group by hiring Mark Bogart as a senior associate in its Princeton office.
Colliers' Princeton Life Sciences team is led by Executive Vice President Charlie Hatfield, who has nearly 30 years of experience in commercial real estate and related fields. Hatfield's team has a strong history of executing complex dispositions and regularly works with leading companies such as Merrill Lynch, Aetna/US Healthcare, and Lehman Brothers, among others.
According to Colliers' 2023 Life Sciences Study, New Jersey's life sciences market has grown in popularity in recent years due to its strategic location, talented and experienced workforce, and seamless supply chain infrastructure for emerging pharmaceutical and biotech companies. It is said to be experiencing rapid growth.
Currently, New Jersey is home to eight of the world's top 10 research and development companies, including Merck, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Johnson & Johnson.
Mr. Bogart's appointment signifies Colliers' continued strategic approach to growing the life sciences practice group in New Jersey's competitive environment. In his new role, Mr. Bogart will leverage his experience in contract negotiation and business development to help industry-leading life sciences companies find and develop spaces that meet their unique operational requirements in hyper-competitive markets. Bogart will assist the team in landlord and tenant representation as well as new business sourcing. Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Bogart has closed over $150 million in sales across all asset types, averaging approximately 20 transactions per year.
“Life sciences continues to be a major driver of Princeton's economy, and we are honored to partner with dozens of leading institutions to support important research,” Hatfield said. “Mark is a great addition to the team who brings fresh energy to help us serve our valued customers.”
“The real positive impact this practice group has on society is what drew me to this opportunity,” Bogart said. “I am honored to be part of the innovative, industry-leading work this team is accomplishing, and I look forward to helping the Princeton office scale these efforts.”
