During TalkTV's live broadcast, Early Career Development Manager Mayor Ryan and former Balfour Beatty apprentice Jalila Cheshire, now assistant quantity surveyor, spoke to presenter Ian Collins. Ryan explained: We've been incorporating apprenticeships into our business for decades and it's hugely important. We are developing a skilled workforce for the future and without our apprentices we would not be able to have a presence on some of the projects we have. ”
Mayor Ryan was also featured on Construction News discussing why collaboration is so important in addressing the skills gap between the infrastructure and construction industries. Mr. Ryan commented: “Amid successes and challenges, we must all work together to improve our apprenticeship system. By embracing innovation, fostering collaboration and engaging with students early on, we can meet current industry demands.
