LAS VEGAS — Usher kicked off his first Super Bowl Sunday night as the halftime headliner at Super Bowl LVIII, complete with an all-star cast along with a few surprise guests.

The eight-time Grammy Award winner appeared on his second Super Bowl halftime show, trying to fit the highlights of his 30-year career into a 13-minute show.
He got help on stage from Alicia Keys, HER, Ludacris, Lil Jon, and CeeLo Green.
Usher opened his set with his 2004 hit “Caught.”
Ms. Keys stood in front of a large red piano and sang her song “If I Ain't Got You.” She also joined Usher on her 2004 hit song “My Boo.”
Usher also joined the field's marching band, singing songs such as “U Don't Have to Call.”
Lil Jon also joined in, starting with “Turn Down for What,” and finishing with Usher's biggest hit, “Yeah.”
“I'd be stupid not to play 'Yay!' Let's start there,” Usher told Entertainment Tonight during Super Bowl week. “You'd be stupid not to play 'Yeah!' when you get to Las Vegas and John's there and Luda's there.”
In 2011, Usher made a surprise appearance at the Black Eyed Peas' halftime show at Super Bowl 45. According to Billboard, the 45-year-old singer performed his song “OMG,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100, next to will.i.am, who produced the song.
According to the music website, he descended from the rafters of AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, wearing an all-white outfit and sunglasses.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the performance took place in Las Vegas on Sunday, two days after the singer's ninth studio album, Coming Home, was released. According to the entertainment news website, this will be his first solo effort in six years since 2016's “Hard II Love” and his collaboration with producer Zaytoven, “A.”
The singer is certainly no stranger to Las Vegas. From July 2022 to December 2023, Usher's “My Way” residency will feature 100 performances at the Dolby Live indoor amphitheater at the Park MGM Hotel and Casino, KSNV-TV reports. It is said that it is sold out.
According to Rolling Stone, this was Usher's second run in Las Vegas, the first being at the Coliseum in 2021.
Entertainment Tonight reports that Usher will return to tour this summer. His Past Present Future tour begins August 20th.
