President Biden plans to visit Silicon Valley later this month to raise money for his re-election campaign, according to a fundraising invitation obtained by The Hill.
Mr. Biden is scheduled to attend a reception hosted by Bob Klain, Daniel Gutman Kline, and Steve Westley on February 22 in Los Altos Hills, California. Tickets for the event start with a $6,600 donation to the Biden Victory Fund, and go up to $100,000 for organizers, $50,000 for co-hosts, and $25,000 for “advocates.”
The president has visited the Democratic-leaning San Francisco Bay Area multiple times over the past year. Mr. Westley, a former state secretary, hosted a fundraiser at his home in Atherton, Calif., in June, when the president was holding a fundraiser in the area. Klein is a housing development company.
While in California later this month, Biden plans to travel to Los Angeles for a fundraiser at Haim Saban's home on February 20, the Los Angeles Times reported. Biden visited Los Angeles on Saturday for a campaign event in Bel Air.
The president traveled to San Francisco in November to participate in the APEC summit, a high-stakes meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, and a campaign fundraiser in the city's financial district. First lady Jill Biden visited the Bay Area in January for her fundraiser.
The Biden campaign declined to comment when asked about the Feb. 22 fundraiser.
Biden spent Wednesday at the New York City campaign trail. His campaign announced last month that it had $117 million on hand, which aides say is the largest amount ever for a Democratic candidate at this point in a campaign. In the fourth quarter of 2023, it raised more than $97 million.
