Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH has expanded its range of automotive-grade MOSFETs with the launch of two new -60V P-channel devices. Made with advanced U-MOS VI process technology, the XPH8R316MC and XPH13016MC MOSFETs promise unparalleled performance in demanding automotive applications such as load switches, solid state relays, and motor drives.
Compliant with AEC-Q101 standard
These MOSFETs are certified to meet AEC-Q101 standards, a hallmark of reliability in automotive applications. The MOSFET is housed in a SOP Advance(WF) package with a wettable side terminal structure. Such a configuration enables automated optical inspection, a key element in maintaining component reliability in the harsh environments of automotive applications.
innovative packaging design
The package design emphasizes not only robustness but also performance. The inclusion of copper connections reflects a thoughtful design approach. This feature reduces resistance, increases efficiency, and reduces heat generation, all contributing to the overall performance of the MOSFET.
Unparalleled performance numbers
XPH8R316MC and XPH13016MC have excellent specifications. XPH8R316MC supports -90A continuous drain current and -180A pulsed drain current. Meanwhile, XPH13016MC supports continuous and pulsed drain currents of -60A and -120A, respectively. Both operate in temperatures up to a frightening 175 degrees Celsius.
On-resistance is significantly lower than previous products. XPH8R316MC has 8.3mΩ and XPH13016MC has 12.9mΩ. This significant reduction in on-resistance helps reduce power consumption in automotive applications, making it a solid choice for automakers looking to improve vehicle efficiency.
